Plan for Sunshine: Install your mulch when the forecast shows at least 48 to 72 hours of dry, sunny weather.

Allow for Curing: Color-enhanced mulches require exposure to the sun and low humidity to "cure" and lock the pigment into the wood fibers.

Optimal Depth: For a professional finish and maximum moisture retention, we recommend an initial installation depth of 4".
